Donnie Jeffrys lost his life early Sunday morning in a hit and run collission.
The accident happened on westbound I-175 near Haymarket Road at about 6:45a.m. The Toyota Corolla Jeffrys was driving was rear ended as he was giving a family friend a ride to work. The unidentified vehicles contact caused the Corolla to spiral out of control and slam into a center divider killing Jeffrys on impact and injury the passenger.
The second car as nearby surveillance video shows that the car continued as if nothing happened and took off from the scene.
Police are still investigating the tragedy and are asking that if anyone who may have been in the area and have any information regarding the accident to contact officials immediately.
